Licensing Class in Morristown

The Morris Radio Club and the Splitrock Amateur Radio Association are jointly offering a Technician Class Ham Cram training opportunity, with VE session, in early April in Northern NJ.

The classes with be conducted over two Saturdays, 04/06 9AM-1PM & 04/13 8:30AM-2PM. An exam will be offered after the 04/13 session.

VE testing fee is $15.   Two forms of ID required including one government issued photo ID. All license class tests will be offered on April 13th.

Wayne Radio amateur Emergency Team (WRAET) will be conducting a simplex drill.

Wayne Radio Amateur Emergency Team will be conducting their second drill, for EmComms. Participants in this drill will test the ability to communicate using simplex frequencies from different key locations in Wayne, NJ (in Passaic County) as part of a drill sponsored by Wayne OEM (Office of Emergency Management).

This year's NNJ ARES 5 watt challenge will Saturday April 13th.

Operating hours Noon to Midnight

Here are the rules:

5 watts Max power, HF or VHF
The use of the internet prohibited
The setting of schedules via radio is encouraged.

Exchange: Call, Name, frequency, mode, Six letter grid or Municipality and ARES appointment if any.
