Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club will operate Special Event Station W2E from the Earth Day event on Friday, 4/13 at the Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park.
The event will be held on Friday, April 13th at the National Park Service location at Mary Ellen Kramer Park -- entrance along Maple Street, Paterson, NJ -- from 9AM until 4PM EDT. The event is part of a larger celebration sponsored by the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, Eagle Creek Renewable Energy and the National Park Service. The special event call sign (W2E) is to commemorate "Water To Electricity" and the vision behind Alexander Hamilton's transformation of the Passaic River by taming the power of water.
Frequencies will center on 14.245 14.045 7.245 and 7.045. Locally, 146.55 will be our working frequency and we would appreciate locals there to speak with the visiting students. We will also monitor the Fair Lawn ARC repeater on 145.470 (-) PL 167.9. Those who make contact with W2E will receive the beautiful commemorative QSL card.
