On October 20th and 21st, local area scouts will have the opportunity to participate in the largest "get together" of scouts around the world. The annual Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) is the largest scouting event in the world bringing together more than one million Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from over 30,000 locations and 150 countries through the use of amateur radio.
We're fortunate that there will be *three* JOTA events in NNJ:
The Boy Scouts of America Northern New Jersey office located at 25 Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland, NJ. Hours of operation will be from 7PM-10PM and Saturday from 9:30AM-6PM. Contact is Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
Camp No-Be- Bos-Co - NNJC RVD Camporee, located at 11 Sand Pond Road in Hardwick, NJ. Hours of operation will be from Saturday October 21st from 8:00AM- 12:00PM. The contact is Scott Wylie, WY1LIE
Troop 108 in Wayne will participate with the Wayne Radio Amateur Emergency Team on Sunday, October 22nd at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 620 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ 07470 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM The contact is Dr. Joseph Scuralli, K2JVS
